Read in The Book of the Ancient Romans Chapter 17, “The Life of the Ancient Roman” on pages 318-338, and answer the reading questions below.

  1. Wow. I think that it is cool that the Romans respected women. I guess we get the whole throwing the bouquet of flowers from the Romans’ torch throwing ceremony thing.

  2. in the series of unfortunate events the 11 book is called the grim grotto and now i know what grotto means so now i know that it is cave underground.

  3. Why did they throw nuts at the slaves? I don’t think I would want everybody following me home after I was married.
