It’s crazy how Hitler would test the people to see if they could read and like how smart they were just to kill the smart ones so they couldn’t lead in the future and would let the illiterate people live just to use them as slaves. The videos were also helpful in telling me how to properly pronounce the german words
The hunt for Eichmann certainly was a captivating adventure. That man had ran for so long, but the Mossad finally caught up. Zvi Haroni caught him, called in some agents, and they abducted him. Justice always comes.
That’s crazy! Even with all my research about the Pacific Theater and the Bombing of Pearl Harbor, I never knew about the detention camps that were set up for Japanese Americans. It never occurred to me how they might have suffered for what Japan did. I guess it’s something we aren’t taught about because it’s not something you like to know about America. We like to think we were the knight in shining armor for WW2, but the reality is far from it. It’s awful how mass hysteria and nation-wide shock can completely change people’s opinions on certain matters.
I find the story about finding Adolf Eichmann very interesting and intense. They have everything planned out so well and executed it perfectly. I do find it sad that Zvi Aharoni and many of his friends family died, it must have been very hard for all the families who lost loved ones.
It’s sad to see how the Japanese Americans were accused of attacking Pearl harbor and even called traitors. Why would someone even think of dedicating there life to kill people? It’s so sad that people were killed, put in gas chambers or had there possessions taken just because of their ethnicity or what they believe. Our world is so corrupted that people would think about doing terrible things like this.
the last video had me on the edge of my seat! its also kind of head spinning to think that we’re having the same problem of convicting american citizens who are of Chinese decent because people believe they caused the Coronavirus’s spread to the US when in reality its american citizens of mostly euorpean decent that were traveling that spread it. i say this to compare it to how japanese americans were treated after the pearl harbor bombing because of the negative association and “justified” racism. it obviously hasnt gotten as bad but if it continues to escalate, history will repeat itself.
i like how crash course explains the events of world war ll, but they do it very breifly so i watched the video twice to make sure i understood everything.
When the injustice of the Japanese internment camps are discussed, I am always appalled at how mass paranoia and hysteria can result in the degrading treatment of an entire race. In order to calm the public’s fear, the government did the unthinkable. No, they didn’t intentionally kill off Japanese citizens, but they did kill their livelihood (and in some cases people died in the camps due to poor sanitation) without cause. Were there any Japanese politicians at the time? If there were, was there nothing they could do? If not, would things have been different if there had been Japanese politicians?
It’s crazy to think about how paranoid the American government was that it did things it regretted later like putting Japanese Americans in camps with terrible conditions. Another thing is that you cannot run away from your bad deeds, someone will always find out, because the one above always knows. That was the case with Adolph Eichmann.

I really liked the third video! It was very captivating and I loved the story. Also the devotion of the agent was outstanding.

I like how Germany and the USSR signed the none aggression pact. It shows how things can change in the world.
The way some people can be so cruel to other humans without even flinching is unbelievable to me
