I didn’t know that the Wesleys and Whitefield where Anglican. I remember reading a book about Hudson Talyor’s wife. I forgot her name though. I think Russian name are cool but I can’t say them.
there was an enormous growth of evangelicism. pastor aeternus translates as eternal shepherd. fyodor dostoyevsky wrote god-man about christ’s coming down to earth and mans fallen self.
evangelicalism had a huge growth. pastor aeternus means eternal shepherd and that makes since to me because i know latin. the most significant developments in the eastern orthodox in the 19 century was thought thought to have occured in russia.
in the 19th century there was much aethism growing in the world. At the same time, there was a period of renewed spirit and faith for many christians. At this time many churches were expanded and many people had a kind of jumpstart to their faith.
I never knew that people like Wesley and Whitefield were Evangelicalists, but it makes sense now that i think about it. Fyodor Dostoyevsky wrote many things for and against Christianity and believed that modern men/women did not have the power to bear Christian freedom with the distractions of today. I think that it really depends on the person though.
the 19th century was not only an age of unbelief as enormous as were the advances of various atheisms and sceptisms toward the centre of western culture, and equally powerful tendency towards renewed religious devotion also arose in those years it was a time of great expansion for many churches and of consolidation and revival for others it was for the greater christian world, a century of faith

Evangelicalism had an enormous growth. Pope Pius IX had a very long pontification. I have heard of Slavophilism.
Slavophilism was a movement in Russia. Alexei expounded on the Slavic Christian ideal of sobornost. Pastor Aeternus means Eternal Shepherd.
