1) positive: Sunday School devleoped
2) negative: lots of excess preaching
positive: people are going out to the west and evangelizing
negative: the people became numb to the gosple before this
Negative: The Burned over area got numb to the over preaching
Positive: People were expecting Christ to come back anytime
negative: had whole bunch of excess
things mutated and evolved and got better
positive: the American Bible Society
negative: the people were getting preached to so much, they became numb to it.
yeah all the preaching didn’t do a lot to negative people
the preachers would mislead the people to think something that’s not true take for example the great disappointment.
positive : Sunday school
negative : Eutopian ideals the idea we are completely alone in making our own prosperity
that lasted waaay to long
Positive comment: Sunday school became a thing and people started appealing holy living.
Negative comment: There was A LOT of abolition.
why did it last so long? it lasted like 40 years
